Bees Lose In Clinton
Clinton, IA - The Burlington Bees (17-36, 11-13) struggles on the road continued July 28. The team fell 10-0 in seven innings to the Clinton Lumberkings (31-21, 16-10)
The Bees move to 4-23 away from Community Field.
Clinton's starter, Jack Turgasen, dominated in his first start after beginning the year in relief. He tossed six shutout innings with a single hit allowed.
The Lumberkings scored one in each of the first two, three in the third and five in the fifth.
Burlington finished with one hit and four errors. The lone hit came from Jeremy Figueroa (Mt.Mercy University).
Justin Hackett (University of Iowa) made the start. He went for 2.2, allowing four hits and three earned runs. The righty received the loss.
Bryer Wiley (Center Point-Urbana) took over in his debut. He threw the final 3.1 innings, letting up two hits, five runs and one earned.
