The Bees closed out the 2023 Prospect League season on a positive note, downing playoff bound Quincy 10-4.
Burlington pounded out 13 hits. Queens University's Keanu Spenser went 3-3, scored three runs and had three runs batted in. Cedric Dunnwald was 4-5 and also had three runs batted in. Caleb Wulf went 2-4, scored a run and had two runs batted in.
Jared Townsend (1-2), in his first relief appearance as a Bee, got the win. He threw the fifth and sixth frames, allowing one hit and a walk. Anthony Ribes took the loss.
The Bees finished the second half 15-15, and the year at 29-30.
